The structural evolution of photochromic reaction in Spirooxazine traced with sub-40fs transient absorption spectroscopy

Abstract

Using sub-40fs transient absorption spectroscopy we trace the structural evolution of a substituted photochromic spiro-phenanthro-oxazine molecule from the spectral changes in the time domain, and by studying coherent oscillations in the frequency domain.
