Abstract

We combine phase-locked femtosecond pulses with 1.5 µm, 1.0 µm and 0.5 µm wavelength to shape optical cycles and experimentally realize the concept of the “perfect wave for high harmonic generation”. This has far-reaching implications for attosecond spectroscopy.
