Tunneling channels in strong field enhanced ionization of diatomic molecules

Abstract

We theoretically demonstrated two new ionization channels through which the electron can be released either from the down-field or up-field site of diatomic molecules. Our finding provides a comprehensive physical picture of molecular enhanced ionization.
