Beating of Terahertz Pulse Induced Spin Precession in ErFeO3

Abstract

Terahertz pulse induced spin precession in ErFeO3 was observed via the Faraday rotation of the visible probe pulse. Unreported splitting of the magnetic resonance was discovered and mechanism explaining this splitting is proposed.
