Abstract
Time-resolved vibrational spectra of DNO-bound myoglobin showed instantaneous bleach that decays on a picosecond time scale, suggesting that most of the photoexcited MbDNO undergoes picosecond geminate rebinding of DNO to Mb after its immediate deligation.
