Abstract

Picosecond time-resolved in situ X-ray absorption and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy techniques for atomic site-specific real-time studies of interfacial photoelectrochemistry are developed. First experiments monitor electronic dynamics of dye-sensitized nanocrystals and at hematite-electrolyte interfaces.
