Intense Field Ionization of C2H2 and 12C13CH2 Aligned in Field-free Space

Abstract

Intense field ionization of nonadiabatically aligned C2H2 was investigated by a pump-probe technique. The yield of parent ions revealed that the ionization occurs preferentially when the molecular axis is perpendicular to the laser polarization direction.
