Single and Double Ionization of Aligned NO Radical in Intense Femtosecond Laser Fields

Abstract

The alignment-dependent sequential-double-ionization probability of NO in intense laser fields is determined by the shape of the 5σ orbital, from which the second photoelectron is ejected associated with the saturation of the first ionization.
