Attosecond Dynamical Franz-Keldysh Effect in Core Excitons

Abstract

Sub-cycle MgF2 core-exciton dynamics was studied by attosecond reflection spectroscopy. We found that the interplay between the crystal and the core-exciton strongly alters the ultrafast material response, introducing a delay as big as 1 femtosecond.
