Intersubband Shift Currents in Asymmetric Quantum Wells as a Source of Mono-Cycle Terahertz Pulses

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

Transient electronic shift currents generated upon intersubband excitation of asymmetric AlGaAs quantum wells efficiently emit mono-cycle terahertz (THz) pulses. The mechanism is characterized and separated from difference-frequency generation by nonlinear two-dimensional THz spectroscopy.
