Abstract

In conventional contact lenses, the spherical shape of both anterior and posterior optical surfaces induce spherical aberration. With lenses of higher back vertex power (BVP), previous calculations1,2,3,4 and in-vitro measurements5 suggested that the level of aberration could significantly degrade the retinal image.
