Methods for Determining The Power Of The Human Lens

Abstract

The human lens is a gradient refractive index structure that changes its shape on accommodation and grows throughout life. To understand the effect of these changes on the optical properties of the lens, we need to understand how the gradient refractive index affects lens power and aberrations. We cannot use conventional paraxial ray tracing to find lens power.
