The Significance of Listing’s Law on the Design of Spectacle Lenses

Abstract

To optimize the orientation of the cylinder axis of a spectacle lens the knowledge of the amount of torsion of the astigmatic eye for every gaze position is important for far vision (Listing’s law). The impact for convergence is discussed.
