Abstract

In recent years there has been an explosion of activity measuring the aberrations of the eye. One of the goals of this activity is to develop methods for predicting visual performance. It is not yet clear how to do that prediction. It is likely that different aspects of visual performance will require different ways of viewing the aberrations. This paper examines and compares five graphical representations of the aberration data. The advantages and disadvantages of the different displays will be discussed.
