Pattern masking deficits associated with dyslexia: An analysis of psychometric functions

Abstract

Observers with dyslexia show a significant increase in backward pattern masking, but the slopes of their psychometric functions do not differ from controls, suggesting a perceptual rather than a cognitive basis for this deficit.
