Influence of fixation distance on peripheral fusional areas and peripheral hysteresis

Abstract

The size of sensory fusional and refusional areas of seven observers were measured for three fixation distances and eight retinal eccentricities. Results show that sensory fusion is affected by fixation distance and retinal eccentricity.
