Eye and head movements during low contrast reading with single vision and progressive lenses

Abstract

Eye and head movements were recorded objectively during reading of low contrast text on both a single page and a double page presentation at an intermediate test distance using either SVL or PAL having different intermediate zone widths. Lens design impacted on reading eye movements and reading ability.
