Form-deprivation myopia is associated with loss of lenticular accommodation in chicks

Abstract

Lenticular performance was assessed in chicks with form-deprivation myopia in one eye. Induction of refractive errors was associated with increased lenticular tonic accommodation and reduced active power. Accommodation was associated with improved lenticular optical quality.
