Ancilla Assisted Decoherence Suppression for Photonic Qubits

Abstract

By adding an ancilla photon in the fixed polarization state and making good use of quantum parity check, the polarization state of a photonic qubit, which may or may not be entangled to other systems, are successfully protected against collective decoherence.
