Frequency Combs Formed via Stimulated Brillouin Scattering in Chalcogenide

Abstract

We exploit the strong Brillouin gain of chalcogenide glasses to generate frequency combs in a centimeter scale fiber devices. These can be applied to generation of ultra-high frequency picosecond pulse trains or complex reflection filters.
