Design of photonic crystal fiber for Sagnac interferometric pressure sensing with high sensitivity

Abstract

We propose a new design of polarization-maintaining photonic crystal fiber for Sagnac interferometric pressure sensing. Simulation demonstrates its pressure sensitivity is enhanced by over 20 times compared with existing sensors of the same type.
