Er3+ doped low-hydroxyl fluorotellurite microstructured fibers for 2.7 µm laser applications

Abstract

We developed a novel Er3+-doped low-hydroxyl fluorotellurite microstructured fiber (EDFTMF) and demonstrated intense emissions at ~2.7 µm from a 5 cm long EDFTMF with the excitation of a 980 nm laser for the first time.
