Abstract

A long-period fiber grating (LPFG) was inscribed in suspended-core fiber by femtosecond laser. The LPFG was insensitive to surrounding refractive index, and the sensitivities to temperature and strain were 4.8 pm/°C and -1.65 pm/με, respectively.
