Sub-pulses with L-shaped amplitude distribution in a rectangular-shaped noise-like pulses fiber laser

We experimentally present a novel type of sub-pulses with L-shaped amplitude distribution releasing from rectangular-shaped noise-like pulses (NLPs) in a passively mode-locked fiber laser, which helps understand the dynamics of NLPs in the fiber laser.
