Simple Optical Fiber Voltage Sensor Based on an U-Groove Fiber Alignment System

Abstract

We present an optical fiber voltage sensor where the voltage applied to a piezo-electric actuator is measured by intensity variations due to the relative separation of two optical fibers aligned on a U-groove.
