Asynchronous Free-Space Optical CDMA Communications System for Last-mile Access Networks

Abstract

We propose a new hybrid asynchronous OCDMA-FSO communications system for access network solutions. New average BER expressions are derived under correlated gamma-gamma scintillation and all users achieve error-free transmissions when FEC is employed.
