Experimental analysis of laser beams with variable spatial coherence propagating underwater

Abstract

Multi Gaussian Schell Model beams with variable spatial coherence and fully coherent Gaussian beams were propagated underwater in two complex media scenarios. Experiments demonstrated that less coherent beams have less scintillation.
