Multi-Wavelength Characterization of Free-Space Optical Link Loss Dynamics Caused by Fog

Abstract

To explain interruptions in laser link operation in fog, we conducted a series of on-field and laboratory experiments. From direct extinction of multi-wavelength signal we made reverse calculation of droplet size distributions at different fog stages.
