Assessment of Visibility from Aerosol Number Concentration

Abstract

In this paper we describe a method to quantify visibility distance based on aerosol number concentration in the size spectrum 5nm to 2.5μm (PM2.5). This method allows complete automation of visibility assessments in weather observations.
