The Spatial Coherence Radius of a Laguerre-Gaussian Laser Beam: the Ouroboros Radius

Abstract

The spatial coherence radius of Laguerre-Gaussian laser beams has been determined and named the ouroboros radius. The accepted degree of coherence required for the spatial coherence radius is questioned and an alternate value is presented.
