All-optical Amplitude Regeneration of QPSK signals through Optical Parametric Process in a Nonlinear SOA

Abstract

All-optical amplitude regeneration of QPSK signals is experimentally investigated in a single nonlinear semiconductor optical amplifier through optical parametric amplification process, enabling the total 3.2dB signal-to-noise ratio improvement.
