Abstract

The possibility of obtaining a transfer function of a diffraction grating affected by blank and ruling errors is examined and a simple experimental procedure for an approximate determination of aberration function is described. Using this aberration function, we have obtained a wavelength-dependent transfer function in order to perform the best restoration of the grating output.
