Parallelicity criteria for samples to be studied using Fabry-Perot interferences

Abstract

Calculations are presented to determine the parallelicity deviation tolerable between the faces of samples in which changes in Fabry-Perot interferences are to be studied. The case of cadmium sulfide at a 10.3-μm wavelength is specifically worked out.
