Abstract

We present an estimate of the space-bandwidth product of a filter of the form W(f) = [H(f)/1[H2(f) + C(f)], which is often encountered in image processing. The estimate applies to blur functions H(f) which are similar to the linear motion blur in that they oscillate smoothly under a decreasing envelope.
