Atmospheric transmittance: improvement of lowtran prediction by incorporating turbulence effects

Abstract

Using the mutual intensity function, we calculate the turbulence loss-effect and add such effects into lowtran predictions and the experimental data. The turbulence corrections bring the Lowtran-calculated transmittance and the experimentally obtained transmittance into closer agreement with each other.
