Abstract

The zero crossing of the birefringence coupled with natural optical activity in certain uniaxial crystals can be utilized to build a narrowband and wide field-of-view filter. Coupled mode analysis is employed to investigate the field-of-view and passband characteristics of such a spectral filter.
