Abstract

Design, manufacturing, and adjustment procedures for a corner cube reflector used in a helium-cooled Michelson spectrometer for the wavenumber range from 50 to 500 cm−1 are presented. This retroreflector is composed of three aluminum mirrors. Performance tests at room temperature and at liquid-helium temperature demonstrate that the alignment of the three mirrors stays within interferometric tolerances over the temperature range covered in the tests.
