Abstract
A simple analysis of a Kerr cell camera is given, and the equations are manipulated to find the arrangement of the camera which gives maximum information from a moving source of given radiance. It is shown that the amount of information can be increased by a slight rotation of the polarizers away from the crossed position. Explicit directions for using the results of this paper for special applications are given.
