Abstract
Photographic exposure and density characteristics of SWR film (Eastman Kodak) and SC-5 film (Kodak Pathé) were investigated at several wavelengths for the spectral range 1200 Å to 3700 Å, and for different developers. A sodium salicylate phosphor-coated photomultiplier tube and a calibrated nitric oxide cell enabled absolute intensities to be determined. A manostat-regulated Schueler lamp and a mercury arc lamp were utilized as sources. Data leading to H and D curves with exposures given in photons/cm2 or ergs/cm2 were obtained. Information on speeds, gammas, and other photometric parameters is presented.
