Characteristics of a Simple Single-Mode He–Ne Laser

Abstract

A simple laser system has been developed which is useful in metrological applications. The emission is a single frequency at 0.63 μ, stable to the order of five parts in 108. The output is aboue 50 μW, sufficient for most interferometric metrology.
