Abstract

The theory of phase locking of a Gaussian beam amplifier array based on the multidithering technique is presented and developed in detail. The role and importance of the pinhole in the coherent beam combination (CBC) system, which had been unsolved for a long time, have been studied in detail. The effects of the size and position of the pinhole on CBC are analyzed based on this theory.
