Abstract
An immersed grating is a novel diffraction grating with higher spectral resolution than the classical reflective grating given. Its diffractive surface is immersed in an optical material with high refractive index (). This article provides a comprehensive discussion of the nonlinear dispersion of an immersed grating based on the analysis of its diffraction angle and angular dispersion.
