Abstract

Multistage color photography without the usual attendant loss of color integrity is described. The technique was evolved for fabricating a four-color, patterned transparency requiring a high degree of pattern precision and close control of color characteristics. The necessary accuracy is achieved through an enlargement–reduction multistage photographic process. Color integrity is maintained through the several processing stages by means of multiple exposure through filters spectrally compatible with the film and the painted pattern.
