Deep nanogroove gratings in metallic substrates demonstrate dramatic enhancements of both Raman scattering and four-wave mixing processes by several orders of magnitude. The cover shows the results obtained from surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) measurements of a self-assembled monolayer of benzenethiol molecules adsorbed on silver-based plasmonic nanocavity gratings. For details see the paper by Genevet et al., pp. G56-G62.
