Microphotographs show changing of the texture of photosensitive chiral nematic liquid crystal doped with a minute amount of carbon nanotubes in the cell with homeotropic anchoring under UV irradiation. The textures (far two right) demonstrate, respectively, irreversible and reversible electrooptic response. For details, see Yaroshchuk et al., pp. E53-59.
