Institutional Focus Issue of Applied Optics

Applied Optics Research at Zhejiang University—College of Optical Science and Engineering (ZJU-COSE)

For the past 71 years, the College of Optical Science and Engineering (COSE) at Zhejiang University (ZJU) has acquired a reputation as a world-class institute with outstanding research and teaching in optics and photonics. It has become well-known as "the cradle of talents for optical engineering in China." Presently, the college spans four research institutes, two research centers, two state key laboratories, three provincial key laboratories, and two international joint laboratories. Throughout its history, the college has been recognized nationally in China for achievements in education and research, including its recent ranking by China’s Minister of Education as the number 1 optical engineering department in the country. The purpose of this institutional focus issue is to provide a glimpse into the depth and breadth of innovative optical engineering research taking place today at Zhejiang University.

All submissions need to present original, previously unpublished work and will be subject to the normal standards and peer review processes of the journal. The standard Applied Optics Publication Charges will apply to all published articles. Please prepare manuscripts according to the author instructions for submission to Applied Optics and submit through Optica Publishing Group's Prism submission system, specifying from the drop-down menu that the manuscript is for the feature issue on Applied Optics Research at ZJU-COSE.
