Abstract

Bismuth has only one really sensitive line Bi 3067.716. This line is located between the two iron lines 3068.176 (150) and 3067.244 (300), but unless the iron concentration is very high and the dispersion of the spectrograph low, interference from iron is not commonly encountered. Other interference, however, has been observed which we wish to report and discuss.
