Abstract
Fourier transform techniques in spectroscopy have been shown to offer significant improvements over classical dispersive methods in the study of infrared spectral features both in astronomical measurements and in laboratory studies. These improvements result from now well known principles including spectral multiplexing, high etendue or throughput, and a significantly improved wave number scale.
