Abstract
The performance of a laminar flow plasma torch as a part of an emission detector for gas chromatography (GC) is evaluated. The effect of plasma gas flow rate on peak height and chromatographic resolution is discussed. Operation stabilities, both short-term and long-term, are presented together with calibration plots for the test elements, carbon and chlorine, as components of separated solvents.
