Abstract

The use of the spectroscope for qualitative and quantitative analysis is not a new subject. A great deal of good work, using this instrument, has already been done in various fields. The purpose of this paper is merely to present the methods and techniques in use at this laboratory for the rapid typing of aluminum alloys and for preliminary quantitative analysis.
